Using Fabric Leftovers

I’ve been participating in Aurifil’s, Designer of the Month series. November’s block is Tossed Salad by Scott Hansen of Blue Nickel Studios. A fun block!

Aurifil DOM, November block

This past year I have really been trying to use my scraps. This block had left-over triangles from the Flying Geese, so I quickly sewed them together into half-square triangles. Normally I throw these into my scrap bags. But we’re on the tail end of an overseas move and my scrap bags are stilling making their way overseas. So I was playing around with these HSTs …Leftovers playtime

and decided to sew up this little block…

Leftovers finished block

It measures 4.5 inch squared.
