March QDAD Round-up

My two favorite Quilt Design a Day (QDAD) designs from March:

I find transparency very difficult to do well and this one just worked!

I love this second one because it is simple shapes, combined just right.

My two least successful designs from March:

I love combining curves with straight lines, but this is just not visually appealing. Maybe I need to extend the dark rectangle to create a plus sign? Or turn the petals so it looks more like a flower?

Crossed Arches, designed by Jenn Rodriguez at Red Patch

This last one I tried playing around with proportion and it just doesn’t seem cohesive.
